The development

A select development of three individually-designed homes, two four-bed houses, and one five-bed house, with over 3000 sq.ft of accommodation, enclosed gardens and private driveways.

They are located in Jennys Lane, a highly desirable road lying on the edge of Lytchett Matravers. This semi-rural Dorset village is situated at the gateway to the Purbeck Hills and Dorset heathland.

This project is being led by Lantis Ltd, a private small developer, with Mark Lansbury as their Construction Director.

Working with Stairways

Stairways were commissioned to provide a range of internal doors across all three homes, delivered in April 2023.

The developer turned to Stairways with a specific high-end design brief of traditional meets contemporary design, and Stairways worked in close collaboration with their interior designer to achieve the right aesthetic. With each property deliberately made unique, that consultative design process took place across each individual home.

There are a number of elements and features which make the doors stand out, of which many are bespoke, as befits the impressive architect-designed £1.5 – 1.7m executive homes.

The ground floor doors are a joinery constructed door from solid timber manufactured entirely in-house at 2250mm height, of a bespoke raised & fielded profile panel design to match the first-floor doors, which are 1981mm. All have been styled with matt black ironmongery providing that contemporary aesthetic.

Stairways also provided sleek black-framed thin-profile glazed double doors onto the kitchen – styled according to the aesthetics of the iconic steel windows of a leading UK designer, along with contemporary Architrave sets, utilising the unique mitre locking system Stairways offers with all their door set & kit ranges.

Stairways’ ability to manufacture bespoke doors in-house, whilst pairing with procured doors for the standard heights, reflects the breadth of what Stairways can deliver, making it easy for developers to acquire all the door solutions they need from a single source.
