The role of junior software programmer and helpdesk operator is a new position sought to enable DAILY operational support to users of our bespoke software. Having reviewed standard – off shelf, software packages, available in the marketplace for joinery production it was decided that a more appropriate approach would be to create bespoke software to fulfil the exact requirements of the business. Support and training will be provided with in the job role for the Apprentice
This is an exciting expansive role that lends itself to someone looking to develop their skills in both working within a Team and developing software. The successful candidate will be expected to interact and assist the operational business users of the software program, by providing fixes to bugs & error codes, as well as contributing to the development and maintenance of software running on a variety of platforms, a flexible, pragmatic, adaptable approach and the ability to learn new skills quickly are essential.
You will be a well organised, methodical personality who can confidently liaise with all levels of staff to ensure that you have a rounded understanding of how the business currently operates and how the programs you are designing will enhance or replace existing manual processes and procedures to make the business more efficient. Support and training will be provide within the job role for the Apprentice.
