A new and exciting opportunity has presented itself owing the market demand for the Stairways Staircase product.

Based at Stairways Midlands, Staircase manufacturing division in Walsall, West Midlands, this full time Monday to Friday role would suit an individual wanting a role working as part of a team, that offers variety in a busy environment.

As an integral part of the design and estimating team you your typical day will consist of the following duties as directed by your line manager.

• Reviewing client’s staircase design & specification requirements from both a manufacturing design and costing perspective.
• Working with Stairways software to prepare clients staircase quotations.
• Processing client details into manufacturing instructions.
• Creating CNC designs and machining instructions for shop floor.
• Communicating with clients, using both Outlook (Email) and Telephone (VOIP)

In addition, too.

• daily housekeeping such as maintenance of files and responding to emails.
• General administration.

Reporting to:

Hours of work: Mon – Thurs 08.30-17.00 & Fri 08.00-15.30
Salary: [£20,000 + depending on experience ] paid monthly by electronic transfer
Contract: Full Time Permanent with 3 month probation period
Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays and seasonal shutdown
Pension: NEST auto enrolment
Start date: Immediate / ASAP
Location: Walsall WS1 4ND – No working from home or hybrid arrangements

Qualifications and experience:

The ideal applicant will have some knowledge of residential house building. An understanding of timber is desirable but not essential.

Manufacturing knowledge of carpentry & joinery products is desirable, but not essential.

Must be a team player, able to problem solve and work under own initiative.

Proficient communicator with all levels including ability to build relationships.

Computer literate – must be able to use Microsoft as a minimum.
