Door set accessories and components
PinPoint is a small data pin installed during manufacture into the hinge side of the door – storing certification, specification, installation instructions, manufacturer’s schedules and component details.
Readable with a smart device and managed with a simple app, PinPoint is a complete digital passport for the lifetime of the door set and makes it easy to meet the new mandatory fire door inspection and maintenance requirements for the life of the door.
PinPoint was designed to meet legislative reform head on and simplify the pathway between manufacturing, installation, inspection, maintenance and facilities management. During install, PinPoint provides a secure and accessible app for the installer to complete a checklist, store photographs and achieve sign-off, seamlessly integrating with third party accreditors. Once the building is occupied, PinPoint gives the ‘duty holder’ the full information and history of every fire door, alerts on maintenance checks, a simple database for carrying out inspections and replacing components.

We offer a unique range of third-party-accredited fire & smoke resistant door sets, attractive and practical day-to-day, while maximising safety in an emergency due to their sustained resistance to fire and smoke.
All our fire & smoke door sets meet the current requirements, having undergone stringent testing. As an accredited member of the Fire Door Alliance, we ensure all components of a fire door set are tested in a controlled environment to a minimum fire resistance of FD30 and certificated by an independent third party. All fire & smoke door components are factory-fitted and precision-engineered to meet the certification standard.

Our acoustic door set solutions can come with a range of features including fire resistance and glazing options, making them the ideal choice for a range of large-scale development projects across various sectors.
Our acoustic range, all tested in accordance with Approved Document E, provides a maximum Sound Transmission Control (STC) rating – that is how much sound would be prevented from passing through a door – of up to 45db. However, each acoustic door set has different characteristics at different frequencies, so selecting the best solution is not necessarily about the highest rating. You can count on the expert team here at Stairways to help you define your acoustic needs and advise you of the best door set solution for you. Acoustic ratings can be achieved across our entire door set range, according to your specifications, and are available in single or double closing configurations, in finishes of your choice.
