Stairways Midlands has a new recruit to its team at Walsall.
The 18-tonne MAN lorry marks the start of reinvestment by Stairways Midlands in its own fleet.
The company believes the time is right to look again at its delivery capability and to begin to build its own fleet again, something which will bring cost savings for the organisation and for customers, and greater flexibility.
Andy Clarke, Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager at Stairways Midlands, said: “We are constantly looking at what we do and how we do it and responding to customers feedback.
“We have had our own fleet previously. The time is right now to look at re-establishing that to make cost savings, and this first investment is dipping our toe in the water.”
