The difference a door makes to a property

The difference a door makes to a property

It can be easy to overlook something like a door – they are so much a part of our lives that they can become almost invisible. But, like so many of the décor details in a property, whether that be commercial or residential, doors contribute to our impression of the space, and how we feel when we use it – even without us realising.

While a poorly fitted poor quality door will stick out like a sore thumb, a high quality, well-made, beautifully finished door will add to a feeling of luxury, comfort, and excellence. Doors on a luxury car for example close with a different sound, a different feel, and have become a marker of superiority. The same can be said of premium doors, with a solid core, they are weighty, closing with a satisfying clunk, with high-quality ironmongery and finishing adding to the overall experience.

Our range

We use doors countless times a day, and we see them in every room – so making them that bit better naturally elevates a space. For that reason, developers, who are always looking to give their properties an edge, are increasingly coming to us requesting more than the basic standard doors – they want us to design door sets to fit their architects’ brief and contribute positively to the aesthetic they’re seeking to create.

Our ecomercial range of doors and door sets are just such a bespoke product – custom-made to meet specification requirements and manufactured with your vision in mind. We can adapt the size, opening configuration, design, finishing, and door linings to meet your needs.
With design options including flush or recessed, grooves or inlays, and finishing options including primed, painted, foiled, veneered and laminated, we can create doors to suit any design aesthetic, from traditional to ultra-modern, scandi to arts and crafts.

More than just good looks

At Stairways we understand it is not enough just to have good looking doors – they must perform well and be fully compliant with all regulations. That’s why we ensure compliance as standard. Our clients can rest assured that we will work with their specification to design out any non-compliance and provide them with the certification their project requires.

Our ecomercial doors are compliant with building regulations Parts B, E, M, our ironmongery is CE marked, and our door units are third party fire certified, rated from FD30 to FD120 according to your requirements. We can also offer soundproof doors within this range, up to 42dBRw.

Quite simply our doors can do more – with the features and properties to meet every design, specification, configuration and compliance need you might have.

So why not get in touch and see how our design team can bring to life your vision for your next project and deliver great-looking premium doors that do more.
