In today’s marketplace, with a myriad of options and solutions, what makes a customer place an order with one company over another? This is a thought I often keep in mind when setting Stairways strategies.
A lot of the challenges we are faced with nowadays are time consuming and complex, often, ideally, needing more time than we actually have to devote to them.
At Stairways, we try to offer a front-to-back project service. Working hand-in-hand with clients, we strive to make the complex more straightforward for all involved.
Keeping up with regulatory and legislative changes is a time-consuming responsibility, wading through pages and pages of technical instructions, often conflicting, and then needing to relay much of this information accurately to others. Procuring fit-for-purpose, complaint materials – on budget and on time – and ensuring installations and maintained tasks are compliantly carried out are concerns many of our clients share with us.
Fire door assemblies can help manage many of these concerns and worries. Procuring an assembled door, frame and ironmongery system, which has been tested in a UKAS facility, coupled with a manufacturer operating within a controlled, audited environment, delivers compliance.
Our interest goes much further than product development and testing. We strongly consider how our clients are going to work with our products. We have a duty of care to provide as much support as necessary to ensure our fire door assemblies do the intended job if the need arises. Installation and maintenance of fire doors is often where we see problems and we work on solutions to prevent repeats.
From specifying the right product, to holding training seminars and on-site toolbox talks, we are here to support and guide clients to the right solutions for them.
Recently, we created a short video designed to speak directly to the installer – our top 10 tips for installing a fire door set. This video sits within the resources section of our website and is also on our YouTube channel, accessible for all.
During July, we brought to market a revolutionary door data tag system, PinPoint. Harnessing modern technology, it provides electronic documentation control for important certificates and schedules, as well as photos taken during important stages of installing a fire door and maintenance record-keeping.
We all have a responsibility to protect ours and others safety. At Stairways, we will continue to help the industry raise the bar, working together for a safer future for all.
